Job Description

ESN is currently seeking an IT Support Tech I
Located on-site in Chesapeake, VA.
Responsibilities:
Receives, documents, and processes IT Support requests. Tracks IT support requests to completion. Provides technical assistance to users to assess the issue, provide resolution, and/or forward triaged issue to next level support. Other tasking as assigned. Occasional after-hours/on-call work, and possible light travel may be required.
Required Skills:
End-user support via phone/chat/remote, maintaining Windows 10/11, some hands-on experience with Linux, browser support/configuration, supporting/installing Microsoft Office, general knowledge of Office365, PC/laptop repair (including handling support via OEMs), configuring/troubleshooting/supporting various peripherals (printers, docking stations, etc.), basic understanding of PKI. Demonstrable knowledge of basic network protocols, cabling, and WiFi.
Standing, stooping, use of (step) ladder, and lifting may be required. Shall be able to lift moderate weight (up to 50 pounds) from the floor. Facilitate transport of IT equipment to various locations.
Education & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and military IT training. OR
  • High School Diploma and 1+ years of IT experience in a business environment.
  • US Citizen
  • Hold or be eligible for a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Reside within commuting distance of Chesapeake, VA.
  • At least one current certification in CompTIA, Microsoft, or Linux.
  • Prefer IT Support experience in a military environment.
