Title: IT Support Engineer

Location: Aurora, IL

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Reports To: IT Operations Manager

Hours: Onsite Monday thru Friday with alternating periods of on-call time

Aftermath Services has an immediate need for a Support Engineer on our IT team in Aurora, IL. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company offering competitive wages and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Act as the initial point of contact for computer related concerns.

Make sure workstations and applications work well in the field and home office.

Maintain and configure computers, printers, iPhones and other devices.

Archive, image, ship and recover technology equipment.

Manage Active Directory, Office 365 and other accounts.

Manage network devices including switches, modems, and phone system.

Physically install cubicle hardware, mounting brackets and other miscellaneous devices.

Be a go-to technical resource for the company.

Create documentation and conduct training for end users.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, IT, or programming field.

3 years' experience helping people with computer problems, both in-person and remote.

Great customer service - desire to help and interact with users.

Helpful demeanor - help, teach, train and share best practices.

Acute attention to detail to set up and document systems consistently and thoroughly.

Experience with Microsoft products: Server 2016/2019, Win 11, Office 365.

History working with cabling, patch panels, punch downs, Ethernet, racks, air conditioning, power.

Ability to develop and communicate daily strategies and plans.

Is accustomed to the always available nature of small business IT in a 24/7 service organization.

Can handle fixing "anything that is plugged in".

Preferred:

Experience automating tasks via coding / scripting.

Experience using AI to work more efficiently.

Experience with databases or web development (PHP / MySQL / Javascript / HTML / CSS).
