Job description

Human Resources Administrator
FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT HOURLY POSITION
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Administrator position handles a variety of duties within the HR Department, with the primary responsibility of ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date. This position reports directly to the Benefits and Leave Manager.
Essential Functions:
• Must exemplify Blake’s Lotaburgers Core Values of Kind, Team, Passion, Process in all responsibilities and interactions.
• Passionate about process, procedures, and people
• Greet visitors, answer, and properly route phone calls from employees and customers and direct them to the appropriate manager or aids as needed
• Keep employee records up to date by entering any changes related to employees into the HR system of record
• Assist employees in gaining access to payroll application to view check stubs, and W2s and to make changes to their personnel data
• Issue new hire identification, pay cards, and initiates login information for various platforms
• Printing and filing of 1-9 and other HR forms and documents
• Initial point of contact for all payroll and pay card issues and work to find resolutions
• Monitors HR inbox, phone, voicemail, and postal mail
• Communicate new employee information to stores, DMs, Oms, and Talent Acquisition Team
• Add new hires into Brink with appropriate employee access
• Act as initial point of contact to intake employee relations investigations for record-keeping and training
• Respond to employment verification requests for current and past employees via phone, email, or fax correspondence
• Assist in all other areas of the HR Department and special projects
• Crosstrain and have a working knowledge of other HR roles and functions
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements (Education/Training/Experience/Abilities):
• Must be personable and committed to Blake’s Core Values, KIND, TEAM, PASSION, & PROCESS
• Must be adept to problem solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and can exhibit empathy towards employees and customers
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
• Must be able to efficiently read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
• Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
• Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be willing to improve performance through management feedback
• Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS
• Associate Degree in HR and/or 1-2 years of HR admin or related field experience desired
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
Essential Physical/Emotional Requirements:
• Must be able to occasionally stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to talk and hear
• Must be able to climb, bend and stoop
• Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to type and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
