IT Project Manager

Responsibilities:
Provide project management services that include but not limited to: Stakeholder analysis and communications planning, project scope & business case definition, project plan development, cost estimates, data analysis, quality control, resources planning, task definition and sequencing, milestones, status reporting, risk mitigation, project implementation, and project close out
Apply professional project management knowledge, experience and best practices to enable the project team and achieve project objectives
Maintain and drive project plans for multiple concurrent projects
Understand client business requirements and present those requirements in a statement of work/business case that is understandable to business users and IT professionals
Determine funding source(s) and accounting codes
Complete the project charter and associated project work breakdown structures
Track project expenses and progress
Monitor project progress against plans, facilitating issue resolution and risk mitigation
Provide weekly project status reports
At project end conduct project post-mortem, documenting lessons learned
Required Skills:
At least 10 years PM experience with a variety of technology projects such as:
o Support security and network teams for network expansion (wireless and/or fiber), firewall installations, quality of service, and active directory modernization in both new facilities and in production environments
o Telephony upgrade to VoIP with coordinated hardware implementations
o Hardware & software deployments across multiple sites for various County departments with minimal end-user impact and downtime
o Website redesign using a Drupal environment
Excellent written and verbal skills for communication to all stakeholders to achieve project outcome
Excellent customer service skills and follow-through
Excellent documentation skills required
Excellent presentation skills to key stakeholders
Strong and effective collaboration skills, with innovative ways to support project resources
Experience with project risk assessment and issue mitigation, escalation, and project reporting.
Ensure projects are tracked, managed and reported according to PMI best practice and standards, contributing to the continuous improvement initiatives of the PMO and ISD
Familiarity with infrastructure technology
PMP Certification, required
