ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking an IT Program Manager to support an upcoming DHS contract that is located in Springfield, VA.


Position can be supported remotely but must be flexible to travel to customer site when necessary.

Responsibility:

  • Manages long-term IT projects, performs design evaluations and works to complete projectswithin budget and scheduling restraints.

  • Develops and implements long-term IT roadmaps and strategy, and monitors alignmentof tactical activities.

  • Provides higher-level view of activities occurring within the enterprise and the impacts oninformation sharing initiatives.

  • Performs risk management, including identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating risks,and communicating and escalating risks and issues.

  • Provide the ability to manage projects that may vary by project type (i.e., a new project, anexisting project, a project being transitioned from another delivery provider, etc.), size,complexity, project life cycle phases, development methods (e.g. SCRUM, spiral, etc.).

  • Support the development of briefings, agendas, and other general documentation support asdirected, including training material and demonstration sessions for new and existingtechnologies to various DHS stakeholders.

  • Support a continuous improvement process by providing recommendations on improvingproducts, services, and processes.

  • Develop Communication Plans

  • Develop and manage project schedules, including integrated project schedules, and plans usingthe tools as defined by the Government (i.e., Microsoft Project, JIRA).

  • Support Management of projects within schedule and budget and defined by theGovernment.

  • Ensure the team delivers Agile development artifacts, which will include ProjectSprint/Product/Release Backlogs, Burndowns/ups, Team Velocity, RTM, etc


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in information systems development and/or project management, including managing projects from inception through deployment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of technical employees.

  • Must be a US citizenship to meet contract requirements.

  • Ability to successfully complete a DHS background investigation.
