What is an IT Problem Manager?

IT Problem Managers are professionals responsible for identifying, managing, and resolving the root causes of recurring incidents within an organization's IT systems. Their main goal is to minimize the impact of problems on business operations by analyzing incident trends, implementing long-term solutions, and preventing future issues. They often coordinate between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure problems are resolved efficiently and permanently.

How does an IT Problem Manager typically collaborate with other IT teams to resolve recurring issues?

An IT Problem Manager frequently works cross-functionally, partnering with service desk staff, incident managers, infrastructure teams, and application support groups to analyze and address persistent IT problems. This involves organizing root cause analyses, facilitating problem review meetings, and ensuring follow-up actions are tracked to completion. Effective communication and documentation are key, as the Problem Manager must coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders to implement long-term solutions and prevent future incidents. This collaborative approach helps foster a proactive culture and continuous improvement within IT operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IT Problem Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an IT Problem Manager, you need a solid understanding of ITIL processes, incident and problem management, and a background in information technology or computer science. Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, and ITIL certifications, are typically required. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills help you excel in identifying root causes and coordinating solutions. These skills are critical for minimizing business disruptions, ensuring service reliability, and driving continuous improvement in IT environments.

Job description

Swish Breaks isn’t just breaking cards — we’re redefining the live shopping game at scale. We live at the intersection of sports, culture, and entertainment, and we’re building the most exciting, community-driven live experience in the hobby.

We’re looking for a natural entertainer who can bring energy, vibes, and authenticity every time they hit “Go Live.” If you love sports, culture, and connecting with people — this is your stage.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the Show: Host live card breaks that feel more like a party than a stream. You’ll keep the energy high, the community buzzing, and the vibes unmatched.

  • Connect with the Culture: Chop it up with fans, answer questions, and build real relationships with collectors who tune in.

  • Grow the Movement: Team up with marketing and content creators to push clips, memes, and highlights across socials.

  • Pull Up IRL: Rep Swish Breaks at shows and events, meet the community, and keep the energy going beyond the stream.

  • Level It Up: Bring ideas, try new things, and help us push the culture of live breaks forward.

What We’re Looking For

  • Sports Junkie: You eat, sleep, breathe sports — and love talking about it.

  • Performer Energy: You’re natural on-camera and know how to entertain a crowd.

  • Detail-Oriented: Organized and sharp when handling cards and orders.

  • Great Communicator: Charismatic, clear, and relatable.

  • Culture-First: You get the hobby, the lingo, and the vibe.

  • Adaptable: Nights, weekends, and fast-paced energy don’t scare you — they hype you up.

  • Financial Motivation: Our top earners are here to drive financial impact.

Bonus Points

  • Live streaming or sales experience (Twitch, TikTok, Whatnot, Fanatics Live, etc.).

  • Familiarity with the sports card industry / trading cards

  • Strong social presence in sports or hobby culture.

  • Background in collectibles, sneakers, gaming, or similar spaces.

Why Join Swish Breaks?

  • Big Growth Energy: Be part of one of the fastest-growing squads in the hobby.

  • Get Paid: Competitive base + per-show commissions (average total comp: $100k+).

  • Perks on Perks: Health benefits, PTO, 401K and more.

  • The Squad: Work with a passionate, creative, and supportive team that loves what they do.

  • Build Your Brand: Grow your personal presence while repping one of the loudest, livest names in the game.

Please forward your resume to: careers@swishbreaks.com with a few words on why you would be perfect for the position + we will bump you to the top of the box! Let's have some fun!
