Overview:
The Cloud Operations Specialist/Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's cloud-based platforms, with a primary focus on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of cloud services by managing user access, endpoint devices, and identity solutions, while supporting a seamless technology experience for employees. Acting as a key operational resource, the individual will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain system health, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize service delivery. The position also plays a critical role in driving automation, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting compliance and governance initiatives across the cloud environment. This individual owns front-line IT operations and employee support day to day while also contributing to solution engineering, building automations and integrations that improve how the business runs.
Work Location: This will be a hybrid position out of our Vienna, VA, location.
Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 Platform Administration
  • Administer and maintain the M365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform services
  • Manage user provisioning, licensing, group policies, and permissions across the M365 environment
  • Monitor service health, perform proactive maintenance, and implement platform updates and improvements
  • Support SharePoint site architecture, intranet operations, and knowledge base maintenance

Identity, Access & Endpoint Management
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including user lifecycle, conditional access policies, SSO configurations, and MFA enforcement
  • Manage device lifecycle from procurement through deployment, configuration, and decommission using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
  • Maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines across Windows and mobile endpoints
  • Coordinate hardware procurement, asset inventory, and vendor relationships for device supply chain
  • Ensure endpoint security posture is aligned with organizational compliance and IT governance standards

User Enablement & Support Operations
  • Serve as a point of contact for IT support, owning intake, triage, and prioritization of incoming email, phone, and Helpdesk inbox requests, and routing or escalating each to the appropriate resource
  • Resolve support requests from first contact through Tier 2 escalation for complex cloud platform and endpoint issues, meeting the response and completion targets defined in the IT Operations SLA
  • Support employee onboarding technology experience including M365 provisioning, device setup, and application access
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding operations, including new-hire and departure intake, maintaining the starts and offboarding trackers, confirming start dates and equipment needs, and confirming completion of access provisioning and removal
  • Contribute to the maintenance of SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation for all operational procedures
  • Coordinate with external managed service vendors and technology partners on incident resolution and service delivery
  • Track and report on service metrics, ticket trends, and operational performance.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for office AV and company events

Automation, Solution Engineering & Continuous Improvement
  • Design, build, and maintain automation solutions using Power Automate, the Power Platform, and scripting to streamline cloud operations workflows
  • Identify manual, repetitive processes and contribute to the development of automations, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions to address them, partnering with the Technology Delivery team on larger initiatives
  • Support the development and maintenance of API-based integrations between M365 and enterprise business systems such as Bullhorn, Paylocity, and Costpoint
  • Contribute to audit readiness, compliance documentation, and access reviews

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of certifications and 3-8 years of experience will be considered

Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications: MS-102 (M365 Administrator Expert), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator), or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot deployment, governance, and adoption enablement, and building Copilot-based or AI-enabled solutions
  • Hands-on experience building automations with Power Automate and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse)
  • Experience developing, maintain, and/or troubleshooting API and Microsoft Graph integrations and scripting with PowerShell
  • Background in a staffing, consulting, or professional services environment
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Bullhorn, Paylocity, Costpoint, or similar business systems
