Job Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Manager reports to the Chief People Officer. They ensure that OurCalling’s technology systems effectively support its operational needs and mission delivery. This role provides guidance and management in system integration, data security, vendor management, and technology administration. The IT Manager is the primary point of contact for staff technology needs, maintaining smooth day-to-day operations across hardware, software, and cloud-based applications.

Technology-related responsibilities

Technology-related responsibilities will include managing the relationships with OurCalling’s IT vendors, including the phone system, alarm system, security camera systems, card-access system, the digital signage player, SecurAlert system, etc. This person will also purchase staff laptops/tablets, oversee all IT onboarding/offboarding for employees, and other assigned tasks. This position may require working in a public space, with a lot of activity and coming/going.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Vendor and Partner ManagementManage the IT vendor relationship, including troubleshooting escalations, holding them accountable to timely ticket resolution, advising the CPO regarding service-level agreements and contract renewals.
  • Act as liaison between the organization and IT service providers to ensure technology needs are consistently met.
  • Technology Management and SupportManage and maintain the organization’s inventory of technology assets, including servers, laptops, iPads, digital signage systems, Aurora systems, Sonos systems, security camera systems, and card-access systems.Ensure reliable performance of all staff-facing apps, tools, and platforms by serving as administrator and primary contact, in collaboration with IT Vendor.Oversee staff IT onboarding and offboarding, in collaboration with HR Hiring Managers.
  • Systems Integration and SecurityMonitor and improve system integrations across the organization to ensure efficiency and data integrity.Implement and maintain security protocols, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational policies, in collaboration with IT Vendor.Regularly review systems for vulnerabilities and coordinate with vendors to mitigate risks.Maintain access control systems and ensure security across both physical and digital environments.
  • Documentation and TrainingMaintain and update the IT Playbook monthly with current procedures, vendor information, logins, and troubleshooting guides.Create and deliver regularly-scheduled basic training for staff on technology tools and cybersecurity awareness.Provide clear, accessible documentation for recurring processes and workflows.
Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of IT coordination, systems administration, or equivalent technical support experience.
Strong knowledge of systems, hardware, software, cloud systems, and security best-practices.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues across diverse devices and platforms.
Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process documentation.
Project management experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate technical issues into non-technical language.

Preferred:
Experience in a non-profit environment.
Experience with Apple devices.
Familiarity with digital signage, building access, and integrated AV/security systems.
Experience with data migration, system integration, and/or cloud migration projects
Experience maintaining IT documentation and playbooks.

Working Conditions

This position will be based at our downtown Dallas navigation center, supporting an additional site in Ferris, TX (OurCommunity), and any future additional sites. Regular on-site presence required; some remote work possible. Occasional evening or weekend support for system updates or emergency issues.
