Job Summary
We are seeking a JR Server Technician for a contract opportunity in Carrollton, TX, supporting data center and technical hardware operations across multiple facilities in the Dallas area. This is an excellent entry-level IT opportunity for a dependable, hands-on candidate who wants to build practical experience with servers, hardware, operating systems, and data center environments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving hardware issues, and being part of a reliable team. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this a strong fit for candidates with foundational IT knowledge who are ready to grow. The work environment values diligence, punctuality, teamwork, and professionalism, with supportive leadership focused on helping team members succeed.
The JR Server Technician will support an important hardware lifecycle and liquidation project, including server removal, inventory control, component handling, and basic troubleshooting. This opportunity offers a stable weekday schedule, guaranteed full-time hours, and strong temp-to-hire potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Unrack servers and technical hardware from data center environments in a safe and organized manner.
- Inventory, sort, and palletize servers, components, and equipment for resale or processing.
- Salvage usable hardware parts for future deployment while following established handling procedures.
- Ensure all hard drives remain securely on-site in compliance with data security requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve assigned hardware trouble tickets.
- Travel to and support multiple critical facilities across the Plano, Carrollton, Richardson, Coppell, Irving, and Dallas areas.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $19.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Strong temp-to-hire potential.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- No overtime required.
- Assignment expected to last through the end of the year.
- Reliable transportation is required due to travel between multiple local facilities.
