Job description

Title: Technical Specialist /Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist
Location - Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 84+ Month
 
Responsibilities:
Analyze current network/infrastructure and design a new secure solution.
Conduct feasibility studies and define business/technical requirements.
Perform data/process modeling, architecture/design, specifications, and implementation plans.
Install, configure, integrate, and test IT infrastructure (custom/COTS).
Provide infrastructure support and transition knowledge to O&M staff.
Create technical documentation, training, and disaster recovery plans.
Perform product/system research, planning, conversion, and migration.
Review technical documents, architecture, and deliverables.
Support project management with work breakdown structures, cost estimation, issue/risk management.
Collaborate with Senior Architect to ensure technology continuity.
 
Required Skills/Experience (8+ years each):
 
Implementation of COTS/customized enterprise networks.
Network infrastructures: virtualization, LANs, VLANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, RTLS, VPN, TCP/IP, SIP.
Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2), videoconferencing, firewalls, UCS, voice/data communications.
Assessment tools development/review.
Technical documentation, requirements, designs, and implementation plans.
Technical Lead on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure projects.
IT planning, system conversion/migration.
Install, configure, integrate, test IT infrastructure systems.
Support and transition to O&M staff.
Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent).
