A well-designed IT infrastructure is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you.


As an IT infrastructure engineer on our team, you’ll help develop IT systems prototypes and experiment with emerging IT and 5G wireless technology to support critical mission use cases. You’ll work with clients and a varied team of technologists to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the IT requirements. You’ll then have the opportunity to plan and implement IT infrastructure components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the prototyping of solutions, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to grow your skills in IT system planning, configuration, scripting, 5G, and cloud technologies while continuing to grow your network engineering experience.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience with IT infrastructure systems


  • 1+ years of experience with network design and integration of network technologies


  • Experience implementing, configuring, and operating virtualization solutions, including VMware


  • Experience in container technology, including Docker, and container orchestration, including Kubernetes


  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions


  • Ability to implement, configure, and operate servers, including Windows and Linux


  • Ability to develop technical briefs and convey technical concepts to a varied audience


  • Secret clearance


  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
