Job description


Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in construction chemicals and building materials. As a Help Desk Technician, you will support smooth IT operations by resolving technical issues and assisting end users across the organization. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to help requests via phone and email, documenting issue details and user information.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and online resources.
  • Perform hands-on fixes including installations, upgrades, backups, and system configurations.
  • Maintain and update help desk records, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations and peripherals.
  • Follow up with users to confirm resolution and satisfaction.
  • Analyze support trends and recommend improvements.
  • Create help sheets and FAQs for end users.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or technical training preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint); familiarity with Outlook calendar and inbox; experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to work in a Windows environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, crawl under desks, reach overhead, and lift or carry equipment as needed to support IT operations.
