Senior Project Manager, IT
As a Sr. IT Project Manager, you will drive Project delivery for the Red Cat Holdings Information Technology Team. This will include owning the complete lifecycle of initiating, planning, execution, deployment, and stakeholder management.
You are required to work with technical staff and lead technical projects, as well as administrate Jira boards/plans, maintain documentation, and manage agile process and workflow for the team. You will apply your technical and organizational skills to establish project goals, capture requirements, plan for dependencies, measure progress, and mitigate risks. You know how to apply technology to solve problems. You are both a diplomat and an advocate and will be trusted to represent these teams to stakeholders and partners, internal and external. The ideal candidate will be able to converse in technical language and possess knowledge of Enterprise Systems, IT operations, systems integrations, application development, service delivery and support, and related services.
It will be your responsibility to be relentless in getting things done with a positive attitude. As the IT Project Manager, you will help our teams maintain organization while continuing to manage process and communication. The right candidate will feel comfortable taking initiative to solve problems in a fast paced and high growth environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scope: Negotiate, define, communicate and manage the scope of the project
  • Planning: Drive the creation of a project plan, including development of Technical specifications, Procurements, Risk log, resource requirements/constraints, and target timelines
  • Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, architects and engineers to identify and document key success scenarios and associated requirements/specifications
  • Process: Work with business operations and other PM peers to foster a climate of collaboration, accountability and results
  • Reporting: Produce weekly or ad-hoc reporting with milestones and progress. Effectively present, orally and in writing, proposals, progress reports and recommendations to the highest levels in the organization.
  • Quality: Implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables
  • Operations: Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects. This includes relevant Agile ceremonies, as well as managing conflicts with IT operational tasks which coincide with project work.
  • Risk: Excellent Risk Management and mitigation, as well as dependencies and assumptions
  • Portfolio Management: Manage multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams and business units within constraints
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications
  • US Person: This role requires either US Citizenship or a Green Card.
  • Extensive IT Project Management Experience: 8+ years of industry experience in technology project management and/or engineering, successfully delivering complex projects and programs.
  • Project Methodology Expertise: Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches) and proficiency with common PM tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar). Ability to tailor and apply methodologies to fit project and business needs.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Project leadership abilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, especially when driving change or resolving project issues.
  • Hands-On & Strategic Balance: Hands-on project management capability - willing and able to dive into project details - combined with strategic oversight. The candidate must be comfortable both doing and delegating.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience.

Additional Desired Qualifications
  • Certifications: Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, and/or CSM are strongly preferred.
  • IT Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT systems that support a technology focused organization and experience leading projects to build systems in these domains is a plus. Prior experience collaborating with Engineering, Developers, analysts, and outside vendors is beneficial, as this role will oversee projects supporting the SDLC, on-prem and SaaS buildouts, and IT Ops. A track record of guiding infrastructure implementations as well as business integrations would be ideal.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Experience ensuring that an organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies while managing projects that implement, monitor, and improve compliance processes.
