Job description

The City of Johns Creek is seeking a qualified IT Applications Analyst to support and maintain the applications and data critical to our daily operations. In this position, you will provide first-level support for our Enterprise Resource Planning system, troubleshoot technical issues, and help staff utilize the system effectively. You will also lead the creation, maintenance, and distribution of system reports and organizational dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ERP Support: Serve as the primary contact for Enterprise Resource Planning application support, assisting users with system issues, access requests, and functional guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Diagnose application problems and coordinate directly with vendors and technical support teams to resolve them.
  • Develop Dashboards: Partner with department stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards that translate business requirements into clear visualizations.
  • Manage System Reporting: Build, maintain, and optimize SSRS reports, and manage report scheduling, deployment, and updates across the organization.
  • Utilize Modern Data Tools: Gather reporting requirements from users and leverage PowerBI, SSRS, and artificial intelligence tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support Implementations: Assist with the launch and upgrade of applications through data validation, user acceptance testing, and post-go-live troubleshooting.
  • Document and Train: Create system documentation, report inventories, and user guides, and conduct training sessions on ERP workflows and reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Four (4) years of professional experience in PowerBI dashboard development and SSRS report authoring, combined with hands-on support of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
    • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Licenses or Certifications (Preferred):
    • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
