Job description

A respected legal team is seeking an IP Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution, IP transactions, and related matters. This is a hands-on role for a skilled attorney looking to work on complex, high-level IP work across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily IP prosecution dockets and USPTO filings
  • Draft responses to office actions and client correspondence
  • Conduct clearance searches and prepare legal opinions
  • Negotiate and draft IP-related agreements, including software licenses
  • Support IP due diligence and documentation in M&A transactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate directly with clients

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in patent/trademark prosecution and IP transactions
  • USPTO registration or patent bar eligibility preferred
  • Strong academic record and excellent writing skills
  • Experience with software agreements and transactional IP work
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (required)
