DETAILS: IOM TECHNOLOGIST - CNIM
Title: IOM Technologist
Compensation: Base salary 90-110k (DOE) possibly higher for extensive experience + Strong Bonus Plan, Incentive compensation, Full benefits, excellent PTO plan
Location : Phoenix, AZ
Classification: FTE - Direct hire (3 openings)
OVERVIEW: IOM TECHNOLOGIST - CNIM
We are searching to fill multiple IOM positions for Neuro Intraoperative Monitors. Our team is growing fast and due to increased demand and new clients we are seeking experienced IOM technologists with 2+ years and a current CNIM certification. However, we encourage anyone with strong IONM skills and experience that is eligible to sit for the CNIM to apply as well. This team has exciting opportunities to work with multiple facilities but only 1 facility and 1 surgeon per day and a schedule of 3-4 days per week allowing for a very good work life balance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: IOM TECHNOLOGIST - CNIM
  • Set-up equipment and patients for various surgical procedures
  • Monitor various surgical procedures including spine fusions, craniotomies, aneurysm clipping and coiling and carotid endarterectomies
  • Communication of IONM data to surgeon and supervising neurologist thorough documentation of surgical events
  • Prepare reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by physician.
  • Start, adjust and observe equipment and controls according to physicians' orders or established protocol.
  • Conduct Neurodiagnostic monitoring to record patients' peripheral or central nervous system, using specialized electronic test equipment, recording devices, and laboratory instruments.
  • Observe gauges, recorder, and video screens of data analysis system during imaging of nervous system.
  • Monitor patients' comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.

REQUIREMENTS: CNIM IOM TECHNOLOGIST
  • 2 years of IOM experience and eligible to sit for CNIM certification or 1+ years experience with CNIM already.
  • Able to adapt and learn new technologies and willing to use and learn new equipment
  • Have a knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as well as basic and advanced Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Modalities including SSEP, TcMEP, EMG, EEG, ABR and cranial nerve.
  • Knowledge with Cadwell, Alphatech, Cascade, or other Healthcare NIM IONM equipment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
  • Must understand and record the medical data in the reports.
  • Must have good communication skills, in order to build a rapport with the patient and physician.
  • Flexible enough to be able to adapt to various situations, regarding recording the patient's information.
  • You will have to be able to lift, pull, and push both the patients and various pieces of equipment.
