Position Overview

Duration: Summer Internship (10–12 weeks, flexible)

Digi Security Systems is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Coordinator to manage our inventory, equipment, and materials at our Oklahoma City, OK branch. The Inventory Coordinator ensures that all materials, equipment, and parts are received, organized, kitted, and accounted for so that field technicians can execute projects and service calls without delay. This role is the operational backbone of Digi Security Systems. Our Inventory Coordinator will receive, organize, and kit equipment for jobs, as well as maintain the inventory count for our internal warehouse, along with various other administrative duties. This person should have at least 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, and s/he must have exceptional computer, communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working for a company in commercial construction, low-voltage, or electrical industries.

Our warehouse is located in Oklahoma City and is expected to commute to this location, near the OKC airport, every day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Kit and prepare items for projects and service calls. Order parts as needed, track their receipt, and ensure all are accounted for in inventory. Participate in regular inventory checks and internal audits.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate and analyze POs, receipts, and reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies. Prepare and maintain documentation related to inventory transactions.
  • Management: Distribute PPE, hardware and software licenses to technicians and partners. Assist with Box Sales and generate POs for Accounting.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments, including project managers, branch managers, and corporate operation, to ensure seamless flow of inventory-related information. Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and maintain an organized warehouse environment. Collaborate with vendors to resolve any inventory-related issues and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and existing inventory to ensure compliance with quality standards. Coordinate, track, and ship project and service RMA equipment.

Key Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Connectwise Manage is a plus.
  • A detail-oriented, well-organized, calm nature
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, working under stressful conditions
  • Adept at using computer software and strong typing skills
  • Writing and professional communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility with work schedule for weekends and nights on an as-needed basis.
  • Forklift certification is desirable.
