Job description

                                             Inventory Control Specialist

Hubot, Inc., a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in liquid and aerosol filling for personal care and pharmaceutical brands, is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in South Bend, Indiana.
Position Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, accurate, and well‑organized inventory operation. This individual will support a culture of continuous improvement by helping implement processes that meet evolving business needs. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, communicates clearly, manages time effectively, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage materials for production two weeks in advance, following FIFO procedures.
  • Review inventory 2–4 weeks ahead for all SKUs scheduled for production.
  • Verify that Production Orders and Bills of Materials (BOM) align with Purchase Orders.
  • Monitor SAP for inventory shortages and component delivery timelines; communicate updates one month in advance of production.
  • Create Production Pull Sheets by SKU for forklift operators.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Assist with distributing Pick Lists for Finished Goods shipments.
  • Receive incoming raw materials, create MRRs, label items in SAP, and route documentation to Warehouse, Accounting, Customer Service, and Quality teams.
  • Serve as the Production Inventory Gatekeeper, advising Logistics on component pickups based on the production schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and logistic data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting, including usage metrics, issue tracking, training records, and work logs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to improve efficiency, eliminate unnecessary steps, and resolve inventory or logistics challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, documentation requirements, safety protocols, and legal regulations across vendors, carriers, and warehouse personnel.
  • Notify the Quality Department promptly when raw materials arrive for sampling.
  • Conduct regular component audits for Production.
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying safety procedures and overseeing quality assurance.
  • Support physical inventory audits alongside Warehouse, Production, Customer Service, and leadership teams.
  • Operate both stand up and sit‑down forklifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while using a computer, lift up to 40 lbs, and move throughout the warehouse to access materials at various heights.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience with a computerized inventory system.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and strong keyboard skills preferred.
  • Stand up and sit‑down forklift certification preferred.
