Position Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and literature and pulling/replacing items as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes parts from TFT production and outside vendors, including verifying quantities, stamping and reconciling packing slip with purchase order and computer printout, and storing parts in designated locations.
  • Enters inventory data in computer, verifying information to ensure accuracy.
  • Pulls parts for assembly and production according to printed bill of materials. Pulls literature as requested, including single items for mailing and items in bulk for trade shows.
  • Processes incoming UPS shipments and freight, including recording on forms and delivering to appropriate offices.
  • Assembles repair kits for shipping.
  • Conducts annual physical inventory of materials and parts.
  • Proactively offers suggestions for the improvement of a product, process or practice.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this document are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of OSHA and company safety precautions and procedures.
  • Ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions and subtractions.
  • Ability to operate computer and applicable software, and maintain strict attention to detail and accuracy of data.
  • Ability to safely operate various industrial machinery and equipment, including forklift, pneumatic manipulator, pallet jack, motorized carousels and lifts.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, work on several tasks at the same time with frequent interruptions and distractions, often under time pressure.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with other company personnel, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
  • Ability to work in high places and physically perform essential duties of the position.
  • Preferred to have 6 months to 2 years of similar rolls Inventory Clerk, Inventory Associate, Material Handler, Warehouse Clerk, etc..
  • Ability to occasionally work extended hours.
  • Must be in good standing.
