As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. In this role, you will ensure the physical cycle counts are performed, accurate inventory levels are maintained, and account for all defective or damaged products, and provide corrective action. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customer.
How you create impact
You will be accountable for the success of the inventory function and customer satisfaction
Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide their performance, and nurture their professional development
Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs are embraced and valued
Identify new techniques and analytics to improve the overall planning process
Lead the annual cost planning process ensuring accuracy and transparency
Oversee and monitor discrepancies via cycle counts and adjustments
Implement loss prevention programs to reduce shrinkage and minimize risk
Build a recovery program to ensure all defective product is accounted for and handled properly
Promote accountability and process improvement based on goals; create action plans and issue resolution tracking
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inventory roles
Create all necessary reports and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy
Drive accountability and process improvement based on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and targets, including creating action plans and issue resolution tracking
What we would like you to bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or related field
7+ years in distribution
5+ years in inventory roles
3+ years in leadership
3+ years with WMS
Experience with 20,000+ SKUs in 3PL preferred
CPIM certification is a plus
