Job description

Manage daily inventory control operations, including cycle counts, spot audits, quality audits, reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and discrepancy resolution.

  • Lead, coach, and develop inventory control team members; assign work, monitor performance, provide feedback, and hold the team accountable for accuracy, productivity, and compliance expectations.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules to support operational needs, customer requirements, and inventory accuracy goals.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors, Operations Managers, Customer Service, Quality, and other cross-functional partners to ensure resources, equipment, and product availability support inventory activities.
  • Review inventory count and audit results, analyze trends, identify root causes of discrepancies, and partner with operations leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control reporting, metrics, and documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly summaries of inventory accuracy, audit findings, adjustments, and corrective action status.
  • Ensure inventory control practices comply with company procedures, customer requirements, operational standards, and applicable quality or regulatory expectations.
  • Support WMS accuracy by monitoring inventory transactions, investigating system or process errors, and partnering with appropriate teams to resolve issues timely.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen inventory accuracy, reduce recurring discrepancies, improve audit performance, and standardize inventory control processes across the operation.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify staffing, training, process, or performance gaps impacting inventory accuracy and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate inventory priorities, issues, risks, and results clearly and timely to operations leadership, internal stakeholders, and external customers as needed.
  • Read and respond to emails and business communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
