We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support our corporate IT team. This role will work out of our New Hope or Plymouth, MN locations.

The job:

As our Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will play a key technical leadership role in designing, securing, and operating our modern cloud and infrastructure platforms. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in Microsoftcentric environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and wants to help shape the future of IT in a multisite, operational business.

In this role, you will be a handson technical leader responsible for Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure services, VMware virtualization, and core infrastructure services. You’ll collaborate closely with IT Support, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and welldocumented solutions that support business growth and resiliency. Other duties will include:

Cloud & Identity Management

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD),including Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, and leastprivilege access.
  • Lead Microsoft Intuneand endpoint management initiatives, including Autopilot, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines.
  • Ensure secure user and device lifecycle management across hybrid and cloud environments

Infrastructure & Virtualization

  • Architect, maintain, and support VMwareenvironments (hosts, clusters, storage, and backups).
  • Support onprem and hybrid infrastructure, including Windows Server, storage platforms, and core services.
  • Monitor system performance and availability; proactively identify and mitigate risk.

Systems Administration & Security

  • Perform advanced system administration: server hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and incident response support.
  • Partner with cybersecurity leadership on audits, security reviews, and remediation efforts.
  • Ensure systems meet organizational security standards and industry best practices.

Operations & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issues.
  • Work within Jira Service Managementto track incidents, requests, and changes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff; provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.

The skills, education, and experience you need:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager
    • VMware virtualization platforms
    • Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure services
  • Excellent Change Management and organization skills
  • Experience supporting multi-site or hybrid environments
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication and leadership skills

A bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Computer Science, or related field plus 7+ years of experience or equivalent experience with Systems Engineering at mid-to-large companies are required.
