Engineer I - Distribution
$67,000 - $84,000 | In person based in Little Falls or Pine River, MN
Experience the full spectrum of engineering work in this exciting role, where you'll split your time between collaborative office projects and engaging field assignments. Perfect for professionals who crave diversity in their daily work and appreciate the occasional fresh air.
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required.
    • Electrical Engineering degree - OR - Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree with one year of utility experience preferred.
  • No experience required
    • Utility Engineering intern experience preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to project sites.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

What you'll do:
  • Design and oversee overhead distribution systems ensuring they meet industry standards and company requirements.
  • Develop underground distribution networks to create efficient and reliable systems.
  • Support the design of distribution substations, integrating cutting-edge technologies and practices.
  • Troubleshoot power quality issues, providing innovative solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Review and design solar interconnects, enabling seamless integration of solar projects into the grid.
  • Identify and manage age and asset renewal projects, ensuring the continued reliability and efficiency of the distribution network.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $84,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
