Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Provides the provision of appropriate nursing support and implementation of evidence-based measures that ensure the well-being of patients receiving care and treatment in the interventional procedural areas and within radiology imaging, which includes adequate and safe monitoring of patients before, during, and after interventional procedures. Interventional Radiology Nurses (IRRN) need to have an understanding of nursing process, providing the standard of care, and guaranteeing quality improvement and exercises influence over departmental activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See licenses and certification
Experience: Six months experience in critical care or emergency room (within the past three years) preferred. Interventional Radiology nursing experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multitask in a fast-pace environment; effectively managing, prioritizing and delegating patient care and completing work assignments and other duties, as assigned. Has a general knowledge of all areas of nursing practice to include understanding of sedation. Demonstrates knowledge of common disease process, treatment modalities and interventions.
License/Certifications: Current active California Registered Nurse License, current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS. EKG course, and PALS certification is required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
Equipment: Computers, monitors, printer, fax, photocopier, Omnicell, telephone, IV pumps, and procedural room equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$47.90 - $71.84
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
