Job description

Radiologic Technologist

All Radiologic Technologists are state and nationally registered professionals. Under the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director, the radiologic technologist I demonstrates proficiency in all skills required to competently perform all level I general diagnostic radiologic procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

All Radiologic Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission. They participate in the continuous quality improvement process while maintaining a working knowledge and following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation and quality control requirements, as well as specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Health Facilities and Title 17, California Radiation Control Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned that do not violate laws or regulations that require personnel with special licensure.

Radiology Department only:

They accurately identify patient information and takes all required measures to provide care specific to the age of the patient. They educate the patient/family about the examination and report all changes in patient's status, including initiating emergency response if required. The technologist accurately documents all patient information in the appropriate hospital systems.

This position is Part-Time status.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or higher.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required.

License Required:

  • State of California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License & Fluoroscopy Permit. If new graduate, fluoroscopy may be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS Certification. American Registry of Radiologist Technologist (ARRT) Radiology certification.
