The Job
San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Radiologic Technologists who perform radiographic procedures employing the use of x-rays to produce images of various parts of the body for the diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. Radiologic Technologists move and position patients; perform radiographic examinations of patients; instruct and direct Radiologic Technologist Trainees and students in the use of equipment, proper techniques and procedures in a locked detention facility.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Licensed/Certifications: Incumbents must posses and maintain all licenses required by their classification per the minimum requirements below and per regulations applicable to their classifications and specialty assignments. Must obtain a State Fluro license within six (6) months of hire date.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS & LICENSES
  • State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Health Association
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Radiological Technologist Trainee: No experience required.
  • Radiological Technologist: Two (2) years of experience in a medical institution as a registered x-ray technologist.
