Senior Windows Systems Administrator

Clearance Required: Top Secret or Secret Clearance

Locations: Adelphi, MD

Position Overview:

The Senior Windows Systems Administrator leads complex system administration and endpoint configuration activities within the environment. This role covers the management of enterprise systems, storage, patching, and endpoint solutions across Windows platforms. The role ensures the performance, reliability, and security of infrastructure by managing staff, planning resources, and aligning technology with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system administration activities across ARLEN and CARLEN networks.

  • Coordinate and assign staff to local system administration duties and manage project execution.

  • Plan and implement long-term strategies for infrastructure operations and system enhancements.

  • Ensure system integrity through proper installation, configuration, maintenance, and software integrity enforcement.

  • Implement and oversee data backup, restore, and storage management operations.

  • Provide leadership in endpoint configuration management and oversee MECM implementation and operations.

  • Resolve complex technical issues and provide Tier 3 support as necessary.

  • Implement and enforce ARL security, reliability, and performance standards.

  • Promote and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for systems administration teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in systems administration and IT infrastructure leadership

  • Education: Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree with an additional 2 years of experience

  • Certifications (Required):

  • CompTIA Security+ CE or CompTIA Server+ CE

  • MCSA, MCSE, MCP

  • Must meet DoD 8750 and 8140 compliance requirements
