Windows Systems Administrator manages, secures, and optimizes an organization's Microsoft infrastructure. Key responsibilities include deploying virtual machines, managing network security, configuring Active Directory, monitoring system performance, automating tasks via PowerShell/CLI, and supporting hybrid environments to ensure high availability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Provisioning, configuring, and managing resources, including virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks (VNets), storage accounts, and database services.
  • Security & Identity Management: Administering Microsoft Active Directory, implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), managing user permissions, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitoring system health, performance, and usage metrics; performing cost optimization and troubleshooting incidents to ensure high availability.
  • Hybrid Integration: Supporting hybrid environments, on-premises networking, and server patching.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configuring and managing backups, replication, and data restoration services.

Certifications: CompTiA Security+
Typical Educational/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
