Role Description 24LiveIT is seeking experienced Desktop Support Engineers to join a large‐scale Windows Migration Project located in Burlington, Massachusetts. This is a full‐time contract opportunity supporting enterprise‐wide device migration activities in a live production environment. The selected candidates will be responsible for performing end‐user device migrations, desktop deployments, data transfers, hardware installations, software configurations, and providing technical support throughout the migration lifecycle. The role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure successful migration outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform Windows migration and desktop deployment activities Configure and deploy desktop and laptop systems Execute end‐user data migration and profile transfers Troubleshoot migration‐related hardware and software issues Provide onsite technical support during migration activities Install, configure and maintain operating systems and applications Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, and end users Document migration activities, issues, and resolutions Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during migrations Support post‐migration validation and user assistance Required Qualifications Experience in Windows migration and desktop deployment projects Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments Experience with desktop/laptop hardware installation and troubleshooting Strong technical support and problem‐solving skills Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues Experience supporting enterprise users in a production environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams Preferred Qualifications Band 2 Desktop Support Technician experience preferred Strong Band 1 Engineers with migration project experience will be considered Experience with large‐scale device refresh or migration projects Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools CompTIA A+ , Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials are a plus What We're Looking For We are seeking motivated Desktop Support Engineers who thrive in fast‐paced enterprise environments and have hands‐on experience supporting Windows migration initiatives.
