Core Responsibilities
Operations & Team Leadership

  • Drive continuous improvement: runbooks, automation, run-rate tasks, and knowledge transfer to Tier 1/2.
  • Coordinate with service desk, networking, security, and app owners on escalations and outages.
Migration & Project Leadership (technical lead)

  • Define migration strategy, architecture, target state, and operational model.
  • Lead POC, pilot cohorts, and phased rollouts; validate UX and app compatibility before broad onboarding.
  • Produce and maintain migration artifacts: diagrams, cutover playbooks, rollback plans, and deployment runbooks.
  • Oversee image management, provisioning, profile migration, storage, and identity/MDM integration.
Platform Engineering & Configuration
  • Manage and tune Citrix infrastructure: Delivery Controllers, StoreFront/Workspace, policies, machine catalogs, PVS/MCS, and published app farms.
  • Design and implement Cloud PC provisioning, sizing (SKU mapping), image management, and optimizations.
  • Configure and maintain Intune/Endpoint Manager policies, Autopilot (if used), and Conditional Access for Cloud PCs.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for Citrix and Cloud PC environments (LogicMonitor, Citrix Director, etc.).
  • Implement security hardening, least-privilege access, certificate management, and secure connectivity (VPN, SASE, Azure networking).
User Experience, Applications & Telephony
  • Ensure optimal UX for latency-sensitive workloads (call center softphones, UC apps) tune remote protocols, multimedia redirection, and QoS.
  • Work with UC/telephony teams to validate audio/video behavior and resolve mouse latency, black screens, or display duplication.
  • Coordinate application remediation, packaging, and delivery (MSI/MSIX/AppV/Citrix App Layering).
Integrations, Automation & Tooling
  • Integrate Cloud PCs with AD/Azure AD, SSO, SCCM, ITSM, and monitoring platforms.
  • Automate provisioning, image updates, scaling, and remediation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, or similar tools.
  • Implement telemetry and logging for proactive performance management and capacity forecasting.
Documentation, Handoff & Governance
  • Produce runbooks, support guides, and operational playbooks for post-migration teams.
  • Define SLAs/OLAs, maintenance schedules, and change control processes for Cloud PC operations.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years in end-user computing engineering with 3 years leading technical teams or projects.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps & Desktops, StoreFront/Workspace, Director, PVS/MCS).
  • Experience implementing and operating Windows 365 Cloud PCs and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Strong knowledge of Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure AD, Conditional Access, and device management.

  • Solid networking and UC fundamentals: TCP/IP, QoS, VPN/SASE, and telephony behavior in virtual desktops.
  • Proficiency in automation/scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI) and monitoring/log analytics.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience migrating large Citrix estates to Windows 365 Cloud PC or AVD (1,000+ seats).
