Job description

Overview
The Physician, Program Director will serve as program director of cardiac imaging and will provide administrative functions necessary for the efficient and fiscally responsible management of the program. Physician, Program Director is responsible for all of the duties as assigned by the medical director of cardiology, Executive Medical Director of the heart and vascular service line and/or senior leadership of WSG to include but limited to the following within CT and MRI imaging: establish credentials for cardiac CT and MR, Cardiology and Radiology. Facilitates between them, review credential applicants regularly/as needed, establish and administer cardiac imaging QA, establish and coordinate scheduling for unassigned (inpatient/outpatient) with Cardiology (all groups) and Radiology, establishing and optimizing protocols to ensure efficient and high quality studies, liaison with Cardiology, ER and Hospitalists to establish appropriate use criteria as well as overall chest pain evaluation protocols, liaison with EP, Structural heart, AHF, Cardiology, etc. to ensure studies meeting referring provider's needs and liaison with Administration/Technology committees regarding appropriate equipment, software, and staffing.
