Job description

Position Summary:

The Sustaining Engineering department maintains safe and industry compliant designs of industrial XOMOX ยฎ branded quarter turn valves for corrosive and toxic chemical processing applications.
This role is located at Crane CP&E's Cincinnati, OH location (also referred to as XOMOX).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and approve or reject deviation requests from production floor, suppliers, and foundries.
  • Increase product knowledge through taking on ownership of projects, reading internal and external product and process specifications, shop floor walks, discussions with senior personnel, documentation of problem-solving solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation of designs, testing, and other project data in accordance with company procedures.
  • Create engineering test reports, bulletins, drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide product fit, form, and function support to all business groups.

Required Qualifications:
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technologies.
  • Problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Word and Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to stay organized and mage time correctly
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on design quality.
