In this role, you will help design and develop intelligent NPC behaviors and engaging enemy encounters for a fast-paced multiplayer action game. Working closely with designers, engineers, and production teams, you will contribute to shaping immersive gameplay experiences that challenge and excite players worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving in a collaborative and highly autonomous setting. You will play a key role in refining AI systems, analyzing gameplay data, and driving continuous improvements to game mechanics and player engagement. Accountabilities:
  • Design and develop engaging enemy behaviors and AI systems for a high-mobility multiplayer action game.
  • Create detailed design specifications, gameplay documentation, and technical implementation guidelines for AI features and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with AI designers, gameplay engineers, and technical teams on NPC creation, scripting, and behavior tree development.
  • Work with production teams to plan upcoming tasks, define dependencies, and support efficient project execution.
  • Analyze gameplay data, player feedback, heatmaps, and behavioral metrics to identify opportunities for AI and gameplay improvements.
  • Prototype, pitch, and iterate on innovative AI concepts and gameplay ideas that enhance player engagement and game balance.
  • Support the continuous refinement of combat encounters, NPC interactions, and overall gameplay pacing.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality gameplay experiences while balancing technical constraints and creative vision.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in game design, AI design, or AI gameplay development within multiplayer game environments.
  • Strong passion for multiplayer gaming and interactive player experiences.
  • Hands-on experience working with Unreal Engine or equivalent AAA game development engines.
  • Proficiency with blueprint scripting, AI behavior trees, and gameplay systems implementation.
  • Solid understanding of NPC behavior design and competitive multiplayer gameplay mechanics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
  • Background or formal education in game design, computer science, programming, or a related field.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance technical implementation and engaging gameplay design.
