GHD is seeking a DoD SkillBridge Intern to learn the role of Project Engineer/Project Manager to join our growing practice in our Maritime & Coastal (M&C) group on the East Coast. This position will be located in Miami, FL or Savannah, GA. You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as coastal, waterfront, and municipal infrastructure improvement & resiliency projects.

As a Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide design support, project management, client management, and business development support. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Collaborate with fellow engineers and scientists on a wide range of coastal/civil engineering projects. Coordinate and work with cross-discipline teams on other market sector projects. Contribute to coastal permitting and environmental documents, writing and data preparation for deliverables, collaborating closely with community, stakeholders and industry. Proactively coach, train and empower project team members Handle oversight and maintain project requirements for safety, quality, efficiency to ensure they are maintained throughout the duration of the project.

Grow and lead existing and new client relationships. Support pursuit/proposal efforts, developing scope, schedule and budget. Get involved.

Involve yourself in local committees, action groups and special interest organizations, with a view towards furthering your own skills and brand recognition for GHD.
