Overview

Oak View Group Canada's internship program is geared towards current or graduate students looking for experience in the sports and entertainment industry with the drive and passion to learn from industry leaders. The Partnerships & Brand Consulting Intern program interns will support client deliverables related to sponsorship and brand strategy, perform research for client proposals and industry trends, participate in day-to-day client and internal team communications, etc. Interns within the program will work directly with the OVG Canada team in the Toronto corporate office.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.95 CAD.

This role is expected to last from September 7, 2026, and will end on December 11, 2026.

This position will remain open until October 16, 2026.

Key Learnings:

  • Broaden the exposure ofalldisciplines to the possibilities of working at OVG-whether that is venue, HR, IT, Marketing, etc.
  • Gain a greater understanding of venue management through formal training along with real-life experiences in the field with their teams. The program includes an International Association of Venue Management (IAVM) textbook, access to resources on the IAVM site, and roughly 8 training sessions led by experts in venue management.
Responsibilities
  • Support all client deliverables related to sponsorship strategy and brand strategyย 
  • Support the development of strategic sponsorship evaluations and presentationsย 
  • Perform research to help craft client proposalsย 
  • Industry trend research (latest deals, spends, emerging brands, etc.)ย 
  • Participate in day-to-day client communication as neededย 
  • Maintain the pulse on industry trends and category developmentsย 
  • Best practices - tracking and analysisย 
  • Brand and partner whitespace analysisย 
  • Marketing material creation (decks, imagery books, etc.)ย 
  • Assist with administrative duties and office managementย 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in or graduated from a Canadian degree or diploma program in Business (Marketing, Communications, Commerce) or Sport Management or a relevant field.ย 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.ย 
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.ย 
  • Positive team player with an eagerness to learn and an affinity for building strong relationships.
  • Strong knowledge in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.ย 
  • Curiosity for and desire to learn more about the business of sport and the sponsorship industry.ย 
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlinesย 
  • Integrity, work ethic, positive attitude, results-driven, teamwork, independence, creativity, confidence, leadership, and urgency are preferred qualities.
