Job description

POSITION: MONOGRAMMER                    

REPORTS TO:  GENERAL MANAGER                        

TYPE: NON-EXEMPT 

BRAND: POTTERY BARN KIDS 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide guests with personalized Pottery Barn Kids merchandise utilizing monogram machine and tools.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Monogrammer will select items for personalization and match guest orders.

  • Monogrammer must have high attention to detail and ensure that needle and threading matches guest specifications.

  • Monogrammer must assess embroidered items for any frayed threading and assure quality before items are picked up by guest.

  • Monogrammer must be comfortable performing routine maintenance and upkeep on embroidery machine.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: 

  • 1-2 years retail sales experience (specialty retail preferred, but not required) 
  • 1-2 years customer service experience 
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to operate embroidery machine and adhere to safety practices and policies

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to operate POS system 
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques 
  • Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. Casual associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly-scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and one regularly-scheduled shift during the week (Monday-Thursday). Associates must be available for annual inventory and entire holiday season (November and December). 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred 

This role offers a competitive compensation package including pay and benefits. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. The anticipated pay range for this role will be: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
