Job description


The Department of Dermatology in the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant. The successful candidate will: Perform all duties related to the administration and coordination of clinical trials, including but not limited to: Patient recruitment, contact and scheduling Patient enrollment Reading and understanding clinical trial protocols Study related clinical responsibilities including photography, EKG administration, medication administration, physical examination, clinical assessments Other study related work as needed Original research including but not limited to, study protocol design, literature reviews and case reports Engagement with medical students including service projects and research Provide general administrative support, such as managing project files and scheduling meetings
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Expected or completed graduate degree in Medicine or other medical profession.
  • Active medical license or license eligible.
  • Experience in patient care with specific focus in Dermatology.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, participate in online trainings, and willingness to travel to investigator meetings.
  • CITI GCP certification.
  • Clinical skills including phlebotomy, EKG, medication administration and physical exam.
