Job description

Job Pool for all individuals interested in applying for High School Choral Accompanist positions. Applicants can apply here for current and/or anticipated vacancies.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide artistic, high quality accompaniments of advanced repertoire, for 5A high school solos, small ensembles, and choral ensembles during classes, before and after school, and weekend rehearsals and performances.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, or Music Performance
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate or be able to go through an Alternative Certification Program, leading to Texas Certification.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Primary instrument - piano; high degree of proficiency on piano.
  • Must be able to sight-read music and read an open score.

Experience:
  • At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
