Job description

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this position is $15.00 - $22.50, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
Eligible employees may also participate in comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, paid time off, and wage increase programs, depending on position type (full-time, part-time, or per diem) and applicable eligibility criteria.
Position Summary: Patient Safety Monitor, Part-time 32 hours per week. Evenings 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Lawrence campus
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, as a Patient Safety Monitor you will provide one-to-one, two-to-one, or rounding observation of patients who have been deemed a safety risk to themselves and/or others. They assist in the provision of a safe and clean environment and provide assistance with activities of daily living, when appropriate. Communicates changes in behavior / activity to the registered nurse.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BCLS or Heart Savor certification
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment
  • Possesses the judgment and ability to effectively communicate observed changes Required training to be completed within 30 days:
  • Completion of a certified crisis intervention training program
  • Universal precautions and Infection control
  • Seizure safety/protocols
  • Fall protocols/prevention
  • Restraints
  • Suicide Precautions

Preferred:
  • Clinical work experience
