Compensation: $78k-124k
Position Summary
The Senior IT Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure that supports business and manufacturing operations. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable IT services while driving infrastructure improvements, cloud adoption, and cross-site technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Microsoft infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, collaboration platforms, and core networking.
  • Manage server lifecycle activities, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and endpoint management.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize servers, storage, virtualization, and network performance.
  • Support LAN/WAN/VPN, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, technology refreshes, and site integrations.
  • Maintain monitoring, configuration management, and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure and identity-related issues.
  • Partner with Security and Operations teams to strengthen system security, compliance, and resilience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Share knowledge and promote best practices across the IT team.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Five or more years supporting enterprise Microsoft infrastructure in a multi-site environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, and backup technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, cloud services, networking, and identity platforms.
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects or major technology implementations.
  • Working knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Microsoft cloud or infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience supporting regulated industries such as medical device, aerospace, or life sciences.
Travel
  • Approximately 10-15% travel to company locations as needed.
  • Occasional flexibility to support teams across multiple time zones.
