Sr Operational Technology Support Specialist

Hybrid - Buffalo, NYSDG is looking for a skilled and experienced Sr Operational Technology Support Specialist to join our SDG IT team. In this role you will support operational technology (OT) needs within our manufacturing & test environment, onsite in Western NY.To be considered for the Sr Operational Technology Support Specialist position here's what you would typically bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience with a combination of IT and OT support. Knowledge in OT principles such as PLCs, HMIs and the Purdue Model is highly desired. Advanced technical knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking. Ability and desire to maintain knowledge & skills related to IT standards and emerging technology opportunities in the OT space.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology used in Manufacturing, LabView and Engineering Test Systems would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to accommodate approximately 10% travel; and, maintain flexible support of multiple sites in the WNY region.
  • The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
  • This position requires a full physical which includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.
As a Sr Operational Technology Support Specialist, you will:
  • Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and advancement of all technology & systems on the Moog test and production networks.
  • Ensure all required services are functioning properly between the Moog test and production networks. Provide schedule-critical support for Moog Operations IT assets and infrastructure.
  • Create & maintain an inventory of all operational technology used in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Clean Rooms, and Inspection areas at your designated support locations.
  • Work to identify and mitigate gaps, redundancies, and risks.
  • Work with IT Security, Network, OT, & other corporate entity COE teams to ensure alignment to the latest policies and procedures. Coordinate support and hand-offs (escalation support) beyond the first-line, service-desk support team.
  • Develop and partner with Operations and Test Equipment resources to maintain an inventory and lifecycle plan (initial build through end of need) including hardware/software maintenance for all specialized computer/technology used in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Clean Rooms, and Inspection areas.
  • Support site operations with the selection of new operational technology equipment, ensuring adherence to Moog architectural and security standards.
  • Site point of Contact/Project Coordinator for Network/System upgrades affecting specialized computer/technology used in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Clean Rooms, and Inspection areas.
  • Work and collaborate with Operational staff to understand Moog Operational IT equipment needs. Support upgrades and improvements necessary to keep the Operational IT equipment state-of-the-art - particularly in the area of emerging technologies & IND4.0 Opportunities
  • Identify systemic areas for improvement and work with the team, the value stream work-centers, and other functions to drive to fruition.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$135,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
