Job description

Directs the planning, implementation, and operation of mission-critical control and automation systems. Identifies operational technology initiatives, establishes priorities, secures resources, and manages the successful implementation and ongoing operation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), field communications, and supporting Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. Work focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, safety, and cybersecurity of complex, distributed OT systems supporting water and wastewater treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution/collection operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
โ€ข A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Engineering, or a closely related field; minimum of five (5) years of experience in OT, SCADA, ICS, or related utility automation environments, including three (3) years of supervisory experience,
OR
โ€ข An unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of six (6) years of experience in OT, SCADA, ICS, or related utility automation environments, including three (3) years of supervisory experience,
OR
โ€ข An Associate's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a closely related field; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in OT, SCADA, ICS, or related utility automation environments, including three (3) years of supervisory experience,
OR
โ€ข Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of nine (9) years of experience in OT, SCADA, ICS, or related utility automation environments, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application):
โ€ข Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and automated reporting software,
โ€ข Knowledge in developing processes, procedures, and techniques used to modify and enhance complex automation and SCADA systems,
โ€ข Experience with General Electric (GE)/Proficy SCADA products,
โ€ข Ability to express ideas effectively, orally and in writing, and
โ€ข Experience supervising an OT team in a water/wastewater environment.
