Epsilon C5I is seeking intelligent, creative self-starters who are majoring in Mathematics/Statistics, Physics, Astronomy, or Electrical/Computer Engineering for internship opportunities in our Beavercreek, OH office.
Epsilon C5I is a technology-driven company providing high-end, creative software and engineering solutions to critical national security missions across space, cyber, air, missile defense, and intelligence domains. These will be full-time paid internship opportunities awarded on a competitive basis. Summer intern assignments will begin in May/ June following the completion of the school year and last nominally three months. The successful candidate(s) will be provided with hands-on experience working with members of our professional Engineering/Science Team on technically oriented projects such as signal processing and exploitation of remote sensing data and applying target detection and tracking algorithms.
Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for developing code to process imagery or signals datasets.
  • Will adapt software to suppress noise to extract and track signals of interest from processed data.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.

Security Requirements:
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
  • Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a TS/SCI government security clearance.

General requirements:
  • Emphasis on emerging Juniors and Seniors pursuing degrees in applied mathematics, science, or engineering.
  • Must be self-driven and have strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and experience formatting, graphs, diagrams, and tables.
  • Must be a full-time student at an accredited, U.S. college or university.
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement with applied math experience.
  • Previous internship experience highly desirable.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Desired Project-specific skillsets sought:
  • Individual completed junior year of studies, major in Applied Math, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Astronomy, or Physics.
  • Knowledge of nonlinear statistics, particle filtering, linear transformations, object tracking, or track-before-detect methods.
  • Applied math/science experience with Python, MATLAB, C/C++.

ADA Notations:
  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, and walk.
  • Ability to travel by car, air, or other means of transportation, if required.
