POSITION: Curriculum Specialist - Math
STARTING DATE: August 2026

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Curriculum specialists provide a variety of services to partnering school districts, including coaching and professional development. In addition, the department collaborates to support curriculum services that include instructional design, assessment, innovative practices, and meeting diverse learning needs. This position will give county-wide leadership to build districts' capacity to provide high quality math instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? A Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution in curriculum or a related area.
? Expertise in Math instruction and curriculum coaching.
? Successful experience as a staff developer, coach or mentor.
? Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of teachers, administrators and other stakeholders.
? Understanding of effective teaching and learning principles for meeting the diverse learning needs of students.
? Evidence of and a commitment to professional growth.
? Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
