We design and deliver propulsion and defense systems that solve the most urgent and critical national security demands.
Ursa Major is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our growing Legal team and report to our General Counsel. This role will provide broad legal and administrative support across the organization, optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal team, and work cross functionally to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, implement best practices and support regulatory compliance efforts. This position is based in our Berthoud, Colorado as a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
  • Support corporate governance activities, including maintaining corporate records, board materials, resolutions, and entity filings.
  • Coordinate responses for subpoenas, audits, due diligence requests, and litigation support.
  • Support intellectual property administration, including invention disclosures, trademarks, and patent filings.
  • Maintain legal templates, document repositories, and contracts and matter tracking systems.
  • Manage corporate filings and other compliance filing requirements (including under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) and filings for a Political Action Committee (PAC)).
  • Manage legal billing, invoicing, data requests, organizational filing, and general project support.
  • Implement and oversee a company-wide document retention and management process.
  • Triage and provide frontline support for requests from the Company to the legal department.
  • Support implementation of legal process improvements and document management best practices.
  • Manage calendaring and scheduling for the legal team, including meeting coordination and travel logistics
  • Support the negotiation, processing, and tracking of non-disclosure agreements and other routine commercial agreements.
  • Maintain the company's contract management system and ensure timely execution and storage of executed documents

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
  • 6+ years of paralegal experience in-house or at a law firm.
  • Experience supporting commercial contracts and corporate legal matters.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting organizations.
  • Familiarity with state filing and LDA/PAC filing requirements.
  • Experience with Ironclad contract management system.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property processes and corporate governance.

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $90,000 - $110,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can't quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.
