Job description

Overview
The Titan Machinery Operations Internship will provide individuals with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one or more key operational areas across our dealership network. This experience is designed to provide broad exposure to the full Operations department, giving interns a well-rounded understanding of how a high-performing equipment dealership function. Individuals are assigned to a primary focus area, based on business need and intern interest. Opportunities for continued employment and career growth within Titan Machinery may be available for individuals who successfully complete this internship.

Responsibilities
  • Diverse Project Experience: Gain exposure to real-world business operations in areas such as equipment analysis, service performance, used inventory optimization, transportation logistics, precision technology, and more based on your area of focus
  • Hands-On Learning: Participate in meaningful day-to-day activities that directly support business goals, such as data analysis, process documentation, market research, reporting, and system testing
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across departments including Sales, Service, Marketing, Fleet, and Operations to gain a full-picture understanding of our dealership business
  • Professional Skill Development: Build valuable skills in data management, communication, reporting, ERP systems, customer experience, and project coordination through guided mentorship and training opportunities
  • Impactful Work: Contribute to key initiatives like customer satisfaction improvement, inventory utilization, and product promotions that support Titan Machinery's strategic growth
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Assist in identifying trends, troubleshooting issues, and researching best practices that drive efficiency, compliance, and customer value

Qualifications
Required:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Sales, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related degree AND have less than 50% of your academic career remaining by the start of the internship program
  • Must be able to regularly and reliably attend work on a part-time schedule for a duration of 8-12 weeks (35-40 hours a week) during the summer months
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a high level of computer literacy
  • Must have Excellent Excel capabilities
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong organization, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently and cost effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time and work flexible hours
  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
