What is an independent contractor Keen?

An Independent Contractor Keen is a professional who provides services on the Keen platform, typically as a psychic, advisor, or coach. These individuals are not employees but rather self-employed contractors who set their own schedules and rates. They offer consultations to clients via chat, phone, or email on topics such as relationships, career, and life guidance. Independent Contractor Keens are responsible for managing their own business operations, including taxes and compliance with platform policies.

What are some common challenges independent contractors on Keen face when managing their workload and client communications?

Independent contractors on Keen often juggle multiple clients with varying needs and expectations, which requires excellent time management and organizational skills. Since communication is primarily online, maintaining clear, professional, and timely responses is essential to building trust and repeat business. Contractors also need to handle their own scheduling, payment tracking, and self-promotion. Adapting to the fluctuating volume of client requests and managing periods of low activity can be challenging, but developing a structured routine and leveraging Keen's tools can help maintain consistency and client satisfaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an independent contractor on Keen, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Independent Contractor on Keen, you generally need expertise in your advisory field (such as psychic, tarot, or counseling), strong self-management skills, and a reliable internet connection. Familiarity with online communication tools, Keen’s platform interface, and digital payment systems is crucial. Exceptional listening, empathy, and clear communication help set top advisors apart and foster client trust. These skills and qualities are vital for delivering high-quality services, maintaining client satisfaction, and building a sustainable independent practice.
