This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in keeping our Community Center and shared spaces clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for the residents, employees, programs, and events that use them every day.

What You'll Do

As a Custodial Associate, you will help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the Community Center and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Clean and maintain floors, including vacuuming and shampooing carpets, vinyl floor care, and pool deck tile cleaning.
  • Clean classrooms, activity rooms, lobby areas, fixtures, interior glass, and other common areas.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and locker rooms and keep supplies fully stocked.
  • Empty trash and maintain clean and orderly trash areas.
  • Set up tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment for scheduled activities, programs, and events.
  • Prepare and restock coffee stations each morning.
  • Assist with room preparation and cleanup for Community Center programs and events.
  • Maintain entryways and walkways by removing leaves, snow, and other debris as needed.
  • Safely operate custodial equipment, machinery, and power tools.
  • Follow established safety procedures and proper chemical-handling practices.
  • Provide general custodial and facility support as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in maintaining a clean environment, and can work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications include:

  • Some high school education required.
  • Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and custodial machinery.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and understand hazards associated with custodial work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and complete routine and repetitive tasks consistently and reliably.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with custodial work, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items as required by the position.
