What is a Series 65 License job?

A Series 65 License qualifies individuals to work as investment adviser representatives (IARs), allowing them to provide financial and investment advice for a fee. It is required by most states for those who offer professional investment guidance. To obtain the license, candidates must pass the Series 65 exam, which covers topics like investment strategies, regulations, and ethical practices. Many financial advisors, wealth managers, and portfolio managers hold this license to serve clients independently or as part of a firm.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Series 65 License position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Series 65 License holder, you need strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio management, and state securities regulations, along with successfully passing the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam. Familiarity with financial planning software, client relationship management (CRM) systems, and compliance platforms is often required.
