Job Description

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Dallas, TX.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Internships at AECOM are designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, construction management and infrastructure projects that have a real-world impact while they are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs furthering their education. Interns gain exposure to cutting-edge technology, industry best practices, and collaboration with experienced professionals in a global firm. The program helps build technical and professional skills while offering networking opportunities that can lead to future career growth. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering and/or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions.  Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Willing to work on a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior construction internship experience.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
  • This position may be offer relocation assistance.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
